School Re-opening March 8th 2021

Following government guidelines, school is currently closed except to vulnerable pupils and children of keyworkers – we are preparing to reopen on 8th March.

In order to maintain safety, we plan to re-open as we did in September 2020, with children in year group bubbles which will be maintained by a STAGGERED TIMETABLE:

Y3: 9:00- 3:00

Y4: 9:15 – 3:15

Y5: 9:30-3:30

Y6 9:45 – 3:45

These staggered times enable us to schedule separate break and lunchtimes for each year group ‘bubble’ as well as easing congestion and drop-off and collection times.

Please maintain social distancing when dropping  off or collecting your child. We also encourage you to wear a face covering.

HOME LEARNING  – continues currently using Purple Mash and virtual Zoom lessons.

School Closure

by | Mar 17, 2020

While school is closed, parents will be expected to work with their children at home on the following platforms.

ALL PUPILS are expected to complete work set daily on ‘Purple Mash’. Each day there will be a maths lesson and worksheet to complete. There will be a task set for literacy and a video showing you what to do. There will also be a set of activities to do for other subjects. For most of these you will be off the computer and completing other activities. Please photograph the work you complete and upload it to your PurpleMash folder for your teacher to see.

You can also show your work at the daily ‘work round-up’ on Zoom (Y3-2pm, Y4-2:30pm, Y5-3pm, Y6 3:30pm) which you need to attend every day.

New projects for each year group will be set this week (4th Jan 2021)

SCREEN TIME & BREAK

Please ensure children maintain a healthy balance between screen-based and other activities. We have also attached some other suggestions for home-based learning and some suggestions for active and well-being breaks.
